In Aussieland

It has been almost a week since I touched down to Melbourne. (Sorry mum and grandma...I didn't mean to make you all cry at the airport...I'm doing fine here...so stop worrying)
I've finally more or less settled down here...feeling a tad bit of homesick though. The weather's pretty cold...bout 10-13 deg in the day dropping to 4-7 at night. Its the wind that chills you to the bone...luckily I've lotsa warm jackets courtesy from my uncle...thanx man. Neway, the nights are really warm in my room cuz I have a heater one 24 hrs a day and the other one warms up my room further if the weather gets too cold. I have a great room mate here plus my best fren hanging around just down the road so dun worry mum...I'm well taken care off.

The weekends were pretty hectic...when to Crown Casino to watch the Germany vs Argintina match, had lunch and dinner in Chinatown and some Asian restaurant...and bought some necessaties from the supermarket. How I really miss Singapore...the food, the crowd and all. Here all the damn shops closes at 5-6 pm. Only the chinese eateries and supermarket in open till the later hours. When the clock strikes 6.30pm...it gets dark...by the time it hits 8pm...the place is deserted...just like 11pm Singapore time...or comparable to a Sunday night along Shenton Way. No place to eat after 9...nowhere t0 go after 10. So that's why I've been so free blogging away.

We finally settled our house along Panorama St in Clayton. Its a 40 min bus ride to my Uni at Burwood. A 2-storey townhouse with 3 rooms and best of all...for 450 mth...it comes fully furnished. Hopefully we can move in on the 10th this month. Cuz my temporary hole-up place doen't give me a secure feeling...and my room is pretty messy. My mum will have a fit if she see's it...heh heh.

My messy room...don't worry...its just for the time being

Beer was to cold...so I decided to settle with red wine to go with my Speghetti Bologniese

International beer feast!!!

My American friend called Erin...and nope...her surname is not Brokervich

I'm kinda nervous of school now cuz I'm in a pretty new environment (wonder where the girls in my Uni are from...hehe...Japan or Korea hopefully...ok...that's not the point). Guess I'll find out tomorz when I drop by to school for a while for some lil seminar. Btw...I've come to realize my cooking sucks...I'll just have to practice more...so mum...I'll be calling in soon again to start getting receipes from ya.

The World Cup semi-finals are starting...wanna catch it now.
So much for now...see ya all folks...
